2009-2010 Schedule

This schedule is a rough plan of what we are doing each weekend. The recreational club will always have access to bus trips to Willamette Pass every weekend that the mountain is open, as signing up for each trip is done individually. However we must maintain a minimum of 20 members each weekend in order for the bus to pick members up on campus. Normally this is not a problem until the end of the term when finals are in progress.

Below we have provided a little Q&A about trips and information on competitions available at Mt. Bachelor, where the competition team will have events.

ASUO Recreational Club Schedule (Bus Trips to Willamette Pass)

As stated above Willamette Pass runs their own bus service to and from their mountain every saturday of the week independent from the club. We are currently working together with them to share their bus seats with our club to bring members up to the mountain. Each member will pay per trip. As long as there are 20 or more active members riding each weekend the bus will continue to pick students up on campus.

Q: "How many trips will we be doing?"
A: Bus trips go up every weekend as the bus service runs through Willamette Pass and independently of the club.

Q: "How long are the trips?"
A: All trips will go up and come back the same day. There is a possibility for over night trips which might coincide with the competition team but will depend upon funding, timing, and space for wherever we stay.

Q: "How do I get on the bus?"
A: Trips will be emailed out two Wednesday's before the weekend they go up. You can sign up that Wednesday through the following Monday (which is the deadline). For example, say we were doing a trip on Saturday Dec. 6th, the weekend before finals. We would have a sheet for sign ups ready this coming Wednesday before thanksgiving day. The final day to sign up would be Monday of next week, and the trip would go up the following Saturday. This process will repeat each week throughout the term.
If you intend to go on a trip, make sure to sign up as early as possible and you should not have any problems getting a spot.

Q: "How many spots are there?"
A: Willamette Pass sends two 51 person buses up every Saturday of the week. Should we need more spots, they can get another bus as long as we can fill it by 80%.
