Alumni Weekend 2014

The Dirty Ducks Alumni weekend has moved to the fall! There’ll be an afternoon kickoff October 18th. We hope to have this be one of our biggest events yet so if you aren’t on our email list contact us at or join our Alumni group on Facebook!

Fall Practice

Fall practice officially starts Tuesday September 30th! Players who are in Eugene the two weeks prior are expected to attend pre-season practice. The captains have organized a workout plan for the month leading up to school; we will test our fitness levels as a team during the first practice of the school year. As always, newcomers are more than welcome – no experience necessary. Come meet the team and coaches and see if rugby could be for you! Established in 1994, The Dirty Ducks have evolved into a competitive Collegiate Division I women's rugby team that continues to maintain the traditional social aspects of the game. We are an all-inclusive family that fosters individuality through support in developing as an athlete and a person throughout your college experience. Come check it out! New players are encouraged to attend and participate in pre-season practices and workouts.

PMRC North Welcomes a New Competitor

Last year the Division I Pacific Mountain Rugby Conference was split into four regional sub-conferences. This season the varsity women’s rugby team of Central Washington University will be joining the University of Oregon, Oregon State University, University of Washington, and Washington State University in the PMRC North conference. This layout will increase the number of regular season matches for each team to 8, creating a need to kick off in late October rather than the winter dates this conference has become accustomed to. 20-cap Eagle Mel Denham, who coached American International College (AIC) to a number 3 spot in the USA Rugby Division I tournament this year, has announced that she’s headed to CWU to assume the head coach position. Between this addition and ORSU’s reinstatement to the Women’s Premier League the Pacific Northwest is in for some exciting rugby competition this fall. The Ducks will kickoff their regular season on Octber 25th, 2014 with a Civil War on Riverfront Field, time TBA.

Startup Meeting

The annual startup meeting for new and returning players will be Thursday, October 2nd at 7p. Location TBA
