| BIENNIAL CAPACITY PLAN (BCP) |
| |
| Description |
As mandated by the University of Oregon’s 2005 Campus Plan, every two years, as part of the preparation of the University of Oregon’s capital construction budget proposal, the Biennial Capacity Plan (BCP) is completed to determine the campus’s development capacity and examine the ongoing effectiveness of the Campus Plan. |
| The BCP contains the following information: |
A calculation of hte speculative maximum build-out of the campus including:
- identification of program-specific site or alternative sites for each building project proposed for first (2009-2011) biennium funding and previously approved, un-built project (2003-5, 2005-7, 2007-09 biennia), and;
- indentification of sufficient siting opportunities to accommodate proposed developments for building project either proposed for funding in subsequent biennia (2011-2013, 2013-2015) or identified as needed by a sponsoring unit.
2009-2011 Biennial Capacity Plan Findings |
The Campus Planning Committee met on June 3, 2009 to review the findings outlined in the 2009-2011 BCP Executive Summary and agreed unanimously that, with regard to the relevant Campus Plan policies and patterns:
-
in the aggregate, sufficient siting opportunities exist for the remaining identified capital projects, and;
-
sites meeting the requirements of the Campus Plan are ifentified for the first-biennium projects and revisions are identified if they are needed.
The committee’s comments were provided with the understanding that the CPC will have an opportunity to review the proposed projects at a future date to ensure that all Campus Plan patterns and policies are met.
