Basic Notions Seminar         Fall 2004

The Basic Notions Seminar of the Mathematics Department is devoted to Mathematics as a whole with emphasis on topics connecting different subfields. The talks are intended to be at the level accessible to graduate students.

The goal is to provide an opportunity for learning about things that are important (basic) for contemporary mathematics, but yet not as widely known as they probably should.

Seminar meets on Fridays, 4:00-5:00 each week during the academic year in room 208 Deady.
