About the team

The UO Wakeboard/Waterski team is fun and competitive group of students at the University of Oregon. We are comprised of every skill level from beginners thru experienced tournament skiiers and riders. We compete in tournaments put on by Active Water Sports at their lake in Toledo, Washington and also collegiate tournaments. At the collegiate events, we compete against schools like Central Washington, Sac State, Chico, Long Beach, San Diego State, and many others. Each competition has different divisions; beginner, intermediate, advanced, open, womens, and wakeskate.

Many of our members have never competed before joining our club and you don’t have to compete to participate. You don’t need any experience at all. We’ll teach you if you don’t know anything. We don’t have our own team boat yet but there are several people on the team that have boats in town that we are able to use when the weather is nice enough. There is generally plenty of gear for you to borrow if you don’t have your own.

Join our facebook group, and if you have any questions, please e-mail the coordinators at UOwake@gmail.com.
