Students Awards
The Department of Women's & Gender Studies at the University of Oregon awards prizes to student through the following contests:
| Abbie Jane Bakony Scholarship |
This award recognizes an outstanding undergraduate student majoring in Women's & Gender Studies. Application is open to all students expecting to complete at least one year or more in the department. Candidates will be evaluated based on overall quality of their academic work, their commitment to learning, and their potential for further academic achievement. A committee of three Women's Studies faculty chosen by the Program Director will select recipients.

| Miller Family Scholarship |

The Miller Family Scholarship supports an outstanding student in Women's & Gender Studies, and may be awarded either to an undergraduate major or graduate certificate student. Candidates will be evaluated based on the overall quality of their academic work, their commitment to learning and their potential for further academic achievement.

Students (one undergraduate, one graduate), from any discipline, are honored for their contribution to the advancement of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) studies.
