Sexual Violence Prevention & Education Coordinator: The
Sexual Violence Prevention and Education Coordinator (SVP & Ed) aims to
create a campus environment that supports survivors of sexual and dating
violence and hold perpetrators accountable through organizing events,
facilitating conversations, and developing promotional material.
International Student Advocate: This position creates the
vision for the office around issues of global feminism and how they are
expressed through the center. They also act as an advocate for the
international community at the University of Oregon. The International Advocate
is responsible for advocating for the best educational and social environment
for international women students on campus.
Diversity Coordinator: This position creates the vision for
the office around issues of diversity and how they are expressed through the
center. The Diversity Coordinator is responsible for promoting and giving space
to multiple voices that have historically have been excluded from feminist
conversations.
Non-Traditional Student Advocate: The Nontraditional Student
Advocate works to create the best educational and social environment for
nontraditional women students on campus. This can be done by becoming familiar
with resources available, outreaching to students, and sharing information.
Nontraditional Student advocate also voices the needs of nontraditional
students within a predominantly traditional institution
Events Coordinator: The Events Coordinator is responsible
for organizing our event logistics in order to bring the voice of feminism and
activism to the larger campus community. In collaboration with the Outreach
Team, the Events Coordinator offers seamless services to all issues based
coordinators to ensure that all the work the center does is successful.
Public Relations Coordinator: The Public Relations Coordinator
is responsible for all media relations including print, radio and television.
This position is the public face of the Women’s Center and must stay abreast of
all Women’s Center events, write press releases and respond to all media
inquiries. In collaboration with the Outreach Team, the Public Relations
Coordinator offers seamless services to all issues based coordinators to ensure
that all the center’s events are successful.
Office Assistant: Office assistants are the public face of
all work of the Women’s Center. Office assistants lead general awareness
campaigns about the Women’s Center’s programs, events and services. Office
assistants work as part of a 20 person staff, under the direction of the
Women’s Center Office Coordinator. Must have work-study to qualify.
Visual Design Coordinator: The Visual Design Coordinator is
responsible for crafting the image of the UO Women’s Center through posters,
fliers, programs, advertisements and outreach materials (brochures, pamphlets,
tee shirts, etc). In collaboration with the Siren Editor in Chief, the Visual
Design coordinator serves as the Art Director to the Siren, the center’s
quarterly feminist magazine
Volunteer Coordinator: The Volunteer Outreach Coordinator is
responsible for organizing our volunteer outreach efforts and bringing the
voice of feminism and activism to the larger campus community. This coordinator
recruits volunteers and organizes the weekly volunteer education/outreach
meeting.
LGBTQQI Coordinator: This position creates the vision for
the office around queer issues and how they are expressed through the center.
To provide a voice and programming for the diverse needs of the LGBTQQI
community.
