WORK EXPERIENCE:
2/01- Present
Supervisor- Knight Library, Stacks Management and Summit
Processing; duties
include supervising approximately 40
student workers, providing library resources for Library Consortiums as
well as individual materials, articles,
and
electronic resources for Graduate students and faculty. Working
a public service desk providing library customer
service. Web page
design. Student training, supervising, scheduling, and work flow
management.
Stacks management- including planning and supervising stacks shifting,
maintenance, reshelving, and shelfreading.
Specialty projects/committees- Currently on the Emergency Response
and Planning Team coordinating library disaster response and safety
protocols.
3/00-12/00 L & S Surveying- Engineer Technician in
Training (ETT); duties included spreadsheet data entry, topographical mapping
(calculating volumes), electronic blueprint reading and plan design using
AUTOCAD 2000, in the field construction surveys using electronic data collector
and surveying instruments, interfacing between engineers, state inspectors, and
general contractors, and meeting construction deadlines.
2/99-5/00 Rascals Tavern,
Bartender; duties included opening procedures, customer service, working
cash register, closing procedures, preparing bank deposits, bouncing, and
answering phones.
9/95-3/98 Knight Library,
Current Periodicals student work-study program. Duties included customer
service, building book-trucks in sorting areas, shelving books, opening front
desk, and training new student workers.
10/96-8/97 Sound
Engineering. Technician; duties included maintenance, service, and
repair of electronic equipment, customer service, and answering phones.
3/92-9/95 Small Cars
Unlimited. Mechanic/Machinist; duties included machining and fabricating
parts to rebuild Volkswagen motors.
VOLUNTEER WORK:
I’ve been involved with the
Oregon Country Fair as a staff volunteer since 1986 and for the last 19
years I have
been the
Operations Manager of Energy Park. In that capacity I supervise crew
coordinators and volunteers ranging from security and construction crews to
camping and entertainment. Additionally, I coordinate with staff and booth
registration volunteers overseeing trouble shooting/solutions, conflict
resolution, and safety concerns.
