Part 6B: URANUS AND NEPTUNE

Uranus and Neptune are smaller and less massive than Jupiter and Saturn, but still much larger and more massive than the Earth. They are roughly the same density as Jupiter, but because they are less massive, we infer that they contain relatively more massive elements than do Jupiter and Saturn. Apparently, Uranus and Neptune were unable to capture as much hydrogen and helium gas from the Solar Nebula as Jupiter and Saturn. So, despite being called Jovian planets, they are not identical to Jupiter and Saturn.
