Acknowledgments
We would like to thank Richard Brown for his patience and understanding for all of the intrusions into his life. Especially for allowing us to leave odd contraptions lying about his house - hanging from chandeliers, in the middle of living spaces, and taped to windows. We hope our information will provide him with further insight into the complex workings of his house, and that we are all grateful to have had the opportunity to bask in the beauty of a truly delightful work of architecture.
We would also like to thank Mark Wensel for throwing himself into our strange little world - without his help we wouldnt have been able to learn as much as we did.
Thanks also to Robert Melnick, Dean of the School of Architecture & Allied Arts, Don Peting, Director Historic Preservation Program, and Karen Johnson, Director Research & Development. Without their support this class would not have had the opportunity to learn all it did about the Watzek House.
