Fol. 258 is retyped for level 6, fol. 296 (JJA 46: 133).
Fol. 268 is also used as a page of level 6, printed also as JJA 46: 142.
Fols. 273-4 are a horrendously botched retyping of level 5's fol. 272
(JJA 46: 101), which Joyce sought to recuperate by drawing indexing lines
among the various misplaced fragments of the text, with which Giorgio Joyce
also helped by writing in green ink additions. Eventually this was given up
as a bad job, and a new typescript (level 5‡, q.v.) made directly from level
4, which typescript was retyped in turn for levels 5''' and 6 (q.v).
