Chapter 4, level 7+*: FW: 75-103.

The Archive “Preface” suggests concerning the proofs for  transition 4 that  “Another, cleaner set [of the level 7 proofs ](missing) with a slightly different overlay was sent to the printer” (JJA 46: xii.) The very few differences between levels 7 and 8, each plausibly explained by typesetter's error in setting the level 7 revisions, suggest to us that there probably was not such a duplicate set. The most problematic differences are on FW: 97, on which see the textual notes.
