This is what I do at the University of Oregon

• I work in the Catalog Department of the Knight Library.

• I work in the Authorities and Catalog Management (ACM) Section, and this is where I:
  1. Edit bibliographic records and correct any errors
  2. Provide cross references (for names, subjects, and titles)
  3. Validate the name and subject headings to make sure that they conform to Library of Congress standards
  4. This work directly affects what you find on our on-line catalog, JANUS,as well as on ORBIS and other Online Library Catalogs Around the World

• I currently serve on two university committees:
  A. I serve on the University Committee On Child Care and Family Support
  In response to its charge to reccommend direction for the development of child care programs for the University-community, the committee on Child Care and family Support has set as its primary goal the planning, development and advocacy of a range of coordinated and comprehensive services and policies which equally considers the child care and family needs of students, staff, and fauclty.

  The committe members believe that through coordinated planning, development and implementation of services, all constituencies of the University-community can be offered more and better options to successfully meet their child care and family needs.

  B. I serve on the Vivian Olum Users Group
  The Vivian Olum Child Development Center will enable us to provide flexible child care programs for faculty, staff, and students. Children aged from six weeks to twelve years will eventually be able to participate in many aspects of this new facility. As a model program, the center will serve as a resource for the Eugene community at large. Also, the Vivian Olum Child Development Center will be able to offer an environment for nationally recognized academic research in child development, education, and child care.

These are some of my interests and hobbies

• I collect minerals, and fossils. Soon you will be able to click here and get a look at my fossil, gem-stone, and mineral collection.

• I love to play music, and I play clarinet and piano, and I earned my degree at the University of Oregon School of Music.
  I play clarinet with the Eugene Symphonic Band, The Truffala Trio, and The Fighting Instruments of Karma Marching Band/Orchestra-That's the wacky band you see at the Oregon Country Fair
  I play piano for the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, in Eugene Oregon, and I accompany the North Douglas High School Choir in Drain, Oregon.

• I enjoy juggling-just about anything
