Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies: Russian Language, Literature, and Culture Concentration (REEES)

The REEES major offers a wide variety of subjects, approaches, professors and experiences. From the great classics of Russian literature to the contemporary Russian mafia, from gypsy music and Balkan culture to the history of Stalin's gulag, from nomadic art of Central Asia to Russian cinema, the major is a gateway to a world of knowledge and experience. Besides being able to choose from many thought-provoking courses, REEES majors have many opportunities to participate in interesting activities such as the Russian Club (famed for its costume parties and delicious food) and the yearly Russian play, open to all interested students.
