The Department of Biology at the University of Oregon offers expertise and research opportunities in a wide range of disciplines including cell and developmental biology, ecology, evolution, genetics, marine biology and neuroscience. Our undergraduate curriculum provides an introductory overview in each of these areas and provides the opportunity for advanced training and specialization in particular areas through course work and research experience. Course work for the biology major provides an exceptional foundation for students who plan to pursue graduate programs in biomedicine and research, and jobs.
