Minor: Geography
(GEOG)Geography isn't just about knowing your way around a map. It's about knowing your way around our ever-changing world. The Department of Geography features faculty and students researching and teaching about the mixture of societal and natural forces that characterize places and regions. Such forces include cutting-edge societal issues, land use, conflict, migration, climate change, environmental justice, water resources, and globalization. In addition, geographers synthesize these patterns using spatial data science and cartography. Students in this minor experience the breadth across Geography's subfields: human and biophysical geography and GIScience.
