Our research specialties are in algebra, analysis, geometry, number theory, probability and topology. We also take great pride in our outstanding undergraduate teaching as well as our thriving graduate program. The minor in mathematics is intended for any student, regardless of major, with a strong interest in mathematics. The flexibility of the mathematics minor program allows each student to tailor the program to his or her needs. While students in such closely allied fields as computer and information science or physics often complete double majors, students with more distantly related majors such as psychology or history may find the minor useful.
