Minor: Creative Writing
(CRWR)
As a student of Creative Writing, you'll read exemplary authors, hone your skills with brief writing exercises, and create your own stories and poems. In courses ranging from introductory to advanced level fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry, you'll also develop imaginative and critical thinking and interpretive skills, as well as create a portfolio of original work. The creative writing minor offers courses in which students study matters of craft by reading and writing creative works, develop critical thinking and interpretive skills, hone their ability to articulate complex ideas with subtlety and clarity, and gain instruction in the mechanics of writing.
