University of Oregon students may earn a minor in Native American Studies. The minor helps students understand contemporary and historic Native lives through attention to the politic statuses, cultures, identities, and practices of Native American nations specifically and Indigenous peoples in general. The program encourages student application of political and cultural dimensions of Native American studies other major fields. Students in virtually every discipline find that related Native American studies courses enrich their academic programs.
