THE REVISION PLAN

Once you have received feedback on your writing from a peer, from a tutor, and from your own reading and review of your document, you are ready to write a short (1/2 page) revision plan.

1. Summarize the comments you received from your peer on the peer review.

2. Summarize the comments you received from an LCB tutor on line and/or in person.

3. List and explain what you plan to do in your revision.

Example: Revision Plan for the Proposal Assignment

I. Comments from the peer review completed by Jason Maxwell:

II. Comments from Mary Savage, LCB tutor:

Omit all recommendations for specific solutions to the problem in your proposal. Save these for the report. Instead outline specifically how you will research and analyze the problem in order to generate more informed recommendations that fit the Lundquist College of Business and its students.

Circle every form of the verb "to be" such as "is," "are," "have been," etc. Then rewrite your sentences using more active verbs.

III. Revision Plan:

I plan to do all of the above except the last suggestion from my peer. I've decided that the tone in this proposal is professional and do not want to risk making it overly enthusiastic for my audience. In addition, I've decided to design the proposal a little differently to make it more attractive. After reading some proposals from other students, I liked their design better. One included a simple company logo at the top of the page, and I borrowed that idea.
