In Dawn Adams' General Plan for the Harrisburg Riverfront, a new bike path follows the higher ground to the proposed northern recreational area, containing ballfields and riverfront recreation. The pond area is designated a wildlife and wetland riverfront reserve. New in-town trailer camping is located east of the existing Safari park.
