University of Oregon recognized as a top value among public universities

EUGENE,
Ore. -- (Jan. 4, 2011) -- The University of Oregon has been named one of the 100 best values in public colleges by Kiplinger's Personal Finance. The
UO is number 89 on the 2011 list.

According to Kiplinger's, the rankings of four-year
institutions include those that "deliver a stellar education at an
affordable price."

The survey evaluates more than 500 public institutions based on
quality measures including admission rate, test scores of incoming freshmen, four-
and six-year graduation rates, and cost information about tuition, fees, room
and board, and financial aid for in-state and out-of-state students.

The annual public school rankings appear in Kiplinger's February 2011 issue -- on
newsstands today -- and online at www.kiplinger.com/tools/colleges.
