EUGENE, Ore. – (July 8, 2013) – The University of Oregon is included as one of 41 colleges and universities -- 21 public and 20 private colleges and universities in the U.S., Canada, and the UK – identified for quality academic offerings and affordable cost in the Fiske Guide to Colleges 2014.
Compiled by former New York Times education editor Edward B. Fiske, the guide looks at 300+ colleges and universities in the U.S., Canada, and Great Britain.
Called a flagship university of manageable size in a great location, “UO may be the best deal in public higher education on the West Coast,” said the Fiske Guide.
“UO offers ample opportunities for those with lofty ambitions to succeed. Indeed, UO’s caring faculty, excellent academics, and abundance of social activities reveal that UO is all it’s quacked up to be.”
The state of Oregon is featured prominently on the list with both UO and Oregon State University earning the honor.
