EUGENE, Ore. -- (Aug. 28, 2009) -- The University of Oregon Museum of Natural and Cultural History will host an open house for educators from 4 to 6 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 3, at the museum, 1680 E. 15th Ave.
Educators will have an opportunity to learn about programs for their classrooms and scholarship opportunities, and register for a chance to win a free tour for a class group. Museum staff and volunteers will be available to answer questions and provide tours of exhibits including, "Oregon - Where Past is Present," and "World Harmony - Musical Instruments from Around the Globe."
Museum hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays. Admission is $3 for adults; $2 for seniors and youths ages 17 and under; and $8 for families (two adults and up to four youths). Museum members, university faculty and staff and students are admitted free. Admission is free for the public on Wednesdays.
