Jacob Lurie has a paper on his website entitled "A survey of elliptic cohomology". I will describe whatever I have managed to figure out about this paper, which might be very little---so be prepared for a short talk. At the very least I should be able to give an introduction to elliptic cohomology and tmf, and say something about Lurie's ultimate goals. |
