Mount Pisgah Arboretum activities

Saturday, February 12, 10 am-noon: Winter Tree Identification with Judith Manning. Practice indoor identification techniques using twigs and a printed key written by Dr. Rhoda Love (included in workshop fee). Bring a hand lens, pocket knife, and ruler if possible. Fee: $10 ($7 MPA members). Location: Arboretum Visitor Center, Buford Park, Eugene, OR. Call (541) 747-1504 for details.

Archaeologist Tom Connolly talks about our extensive collection of prehistoric baskets, why they lasted in Oregon's caves and estuaries, and what they tell about the First People of the region.
