Abstract | ||||||||||||||
· What are the general physical conditions of the space? - Hobo data shows that five of the six locations were outside of ASHRAE comfort boundaries for the majority of the time. During the 48 hours of data collection, Hobo C remained within the comfort zone. Hobo D bordered on comfort zone parameters. (Fig. 1.1) Both C and D were placed on the underside of work-surfaces abutting interior spaces, and show relatively stable temperatures, comparatively. Hobo B shows a steep decline in temperature. We suspect that the Hobo fell from its fixed position, since it was found in a different position upon retrieval. It is likely that the Hobo remained on the concrete floor for that period of time, soaking up the coolth of the thermal mass. When the stranger replaced our Hobo into a new location on the work surface, the temperatures steadily rose. |
