This space is not well-designed for the stack effect, especially in an Oregon fall.
- Thermal masses of staircases and walls reduce the stack effect, since they tend to moderate temperature differences.
- The glazing is both thin and leaky.
To work as stacks spaces have to be designed for the stack effect
- Better insulated
- Minimal thermal mass or most thermal mass insulated.
