Heat Recovery Unit


  • ENTHALPY WHEELS capture some of the enthalpy from conditioned return air to increase (in the heating season) the enthalpy of incoming air so that supply air is as close to interior conditions as possible, thus reducing heating loads.

  • ENTHALPY is the total latent and sensible energy contained in moist air.

  • ENTHALPY can be calculated psychrometrically using dry bulb temperature, relative humidity and an assumed atmospheric pressure of 29.921 in of Hg.
