STUDY LITERATURE AND WRITING IN SIENA, ITALY

English Professor John Gage of the University of Oregon will teach two courses in Siena during the Winter Term, 2005.

Transfer credit from the University of Oregon is available.

 

OSIE 488 - A Poet’s Italy: Ezra Pound and Italian Culture (5 credits)
Learn about the Italian influences on this influential American modernist poet and visit places he lived and wrote about.

OSIE 388 - Travel Writing: Reflecting on Culture and Experience (5 credits)
Learn how to write creatively and meaningfully about the experience of travel, while visiting a variety of Italian settings for inspiration.

An Art History course will also be available.
