Last night Felix started playing the piano. He’s pounded on the  keys a few times before, but not like this. I played some songs, which he enjoyed, but then he took over and played for about half an hour, sitting up on the stool. He insisted on wearing his sunglasses (which he won’t wear outside, by the way) and swayed back and forth as he played away. A new Ray Charles in the making?

Speaking of music, the night before last was his first time sitting in with a band. Chris took him to rehearsal, and he had a great time playing percussion while the band practiced. How long before he plays better than both his parents?
