A look into the schools of Architecture and Allied Arts

The LaVerne Krause Gallery bustles with activity and movement while bursting at the seams with art and architecture projects. Students mill around Lawrence Hall, home of the School of Architecture and Allied Arts. Paintings, sculptures and building mockups produce an array of eye-catching art that is constantly renewed.

In the final weeks of the term, AAA students go through their end-of-term reviews. The second floor of Lawrence Hall is filled with blueprints and models of sweeping villas and idyllic landscapes - as well as exhausted students. The LaVerne Krause gallery in Lawrence Hall showcases the best work of the most experienced students in the Allied Arts schools.

Oregon's art students create some of the most inspirational and creative works on campus. They work extremely long hours, often sleeping in the building in order to maintain their frantic pace and meet their looming deadlines. Yet, despite their dedication, their work is rarely seen by more than their professors and classmates. These photos and articles attempt to shed light on the world of the AAA schools.
