Services at the Yamada Language Center

  • self-study courses in languages such as Arabic, Romanian, and Portuguese;

  • a virtual language lab for accessing materials from any computer;

  • language-related news, e-mail lists, and a quarterly newsletter;

  • educational materials such as international periodicals, foreign-language DVDs and CDs, and updated tapes of daily news programs from more than thirty countries;

  • language learning facilities, including an AV room, a computer lab, and a student lounge with multimedia equipment;

  • an annual foreign language and international studies day for high school students;

  • a tutoring exchange program for students who want individual help learning a foreign language; and

  • an archive of downloadable fonts for forty-four languages.
