Accession Number Log

Accession Number Logs keep track of what groups of Accession Numbers are assigned to a Source. This not only ensures that we have a record of the numbers should the Order Form be lost, but also provides a quick look-up without having to track down the Source in the Project Management or Scanning queues. A new Accession Number Log is created for each project with new Accession Number sequences. Below are pictured the VRC general worlkflow Log and the Historic Preservation Project Log. A new general workflow Log is created for each calendar year. Older general Logs or Logs of completed projects are stored with other project documentation. Ask the Staff if you need to refer to them.

There should be no gaps in the Accession Number Log. If there are, please alert the Staff.
