Vcat Best Practices:

Order

Source and Order are used for Pre-Cataloging (see Order Tracking Sheet). The Staff usually handle Pre-Cataloging, though a Cataloger may be asked to fill out Source and Order records for special projects. The Order layout records who requested the image(s), their department and course number and when the Order was placed. Once all cataloging has been done, an inventory sheet can be produced identifying the image(s) with the digital image file(s) and given to the requestor for easy access.
