5. Greenwich. The Queen's House by Inigo Jones. The Queen's Presence Chamber. This is the first chamber of the Queen's Apartments entered from the balcony of the Great Hall. Walls are hung with tapestries. For this restoration, the Chair of State and accompanying stools were copied from surviving original pieces at Knole House. These pieces are upholstered in crimson hand-cut silk velvet. Cloth for the canopy and backdrop is of silk damask.
6. Greenwich. The Queen's Presence Chamber. The ornate coved ceiling ornamented with painted grotesque work and other motifs dates from the 1630s.
