About This Print

A view of the old Basilica de Santa Maria de Guadalupe in Mexico City from an adjoining plaza.  The artist traveled to Mexico in October 1965 as part of a world tour that also took him to the United States, Spain, Italy, Greece, and Turkey.  Upon his return to Japan he began work on a series of ten prints showing views from his travels titled Here and There in the West.  All of these prints were carved and, most likely, printed and published by the artist.
