In solemn splendour, the party of the Vice Governor of Hitachi was parading along the mountain-path lined with gorgeous-tinted trees of the Autumn. At the sight of this parade, Genji knew that his old sweetheart was coming back from afar. In his heart surged a secret yearning for Utsusemi.
