About This Print

This print is one of five prints in the artist's series Germination.  Each print in this series uses the similar form of egg or seed-like masses dividing.  For this print, Hagiwara used the technique of forcing pigment through the paper from the back, effectively dying the paper and producing a textural surface on which to work.  There is significant fading of the colors in this print.  Compare against the below impression from the Artelino website.
