About This Print
This print is one of five prints in the artist's series Germination. Each print in this series uses the similar form of egg or seed-like masses dividing. For this print, Hagiwara used the technique of forcing pigment through the paper from the back, effectively dying the paper and producing a textural surface on which to work.
