About This Print
Picturing an Ainu woman in traditional dress, this print was carved by Kawanishi c. 1962 and printed/published posthumously in a limited edition of 150 by 形象社 Keishōsha as part of their August 1980 release of the book 川西英版画集 2 (Kawanishi Hide Hangashū 2), edited by Hide's son Kawanishi Yuzaburō 川西祐三郎 (1923-2014). Five "original" woodblock prints were included with the book.
The below label is attached to the top margin of the verso.
