A woodblock-printed kuchi-e from an unknown magazine. "From the 1890s, working for Hakubunkan, Shun'yōdō, and other publishers, Toshikata designed kuchi-e for many novels by well-known authors of the time... He also designed forty-eight kuchi-e for [the magazine] Bungei kurabu"1 and other magazines.
