About This Print
A view of Kototoibashi
(言問橋) from Sumida Koen (Sumida Park). The Kototoi Bridge spans the Sumida River in the Mukojima district of Tokyo. Built in 1928, it is approximately 160 meters long and 20 meters high. Extensive reconstruction was done after WWII when the bridge was heavily damaged. A monument stands at the head of the bridge to all the fallen civilians that died in the Tokyo Air raid and resulting firestorm in 1945.
Many civilians perished on this bridge.Print Details
