Act 2: nochi-shite - the god Shirahige no Myōjin; nochi-tsure - a goddess; nochi-tsure - a dragon-god
An Imperial envoy on a pilgrimage to the shrine of Shirahige no Myōjin meets an old fisherman there and hears from him how Mt. Hiei, with which the shrine is closely connected, first came to be a great center of Buddhism. The old man then vanished but, reappearing later in his true form as the Shirahige, dances for the envoy. A goddess and a dragon-god also appear and join in the entertainment.
