Source: A Guide to No, P.G. O'Neill, Hinoki Shoten, 1929, p. 218-219.To help Minamoto Yoshitsune escape from Yoshino, his retainer Tadanobu and his mistress Shizuka meet and plan to delay his pursuers. Tadanobu disguises himself as a pilgrim and talks to the two soldiers while they rest, in a way designed to weaken them in their purpose. Shizuka then dances and tells them of Yoshitsune's uprightness, and in the end they delay the pursuit so much that the hour of danger passes.
