About Me

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at University of Oregon. My mathematical interests are in geometry, and more specifically in gauge theory. My research program centers around the asymptotic geometry of the Hitchin moduli space and K3 surfaces. One main goal is to address the beautiful conjectural description of the hyperkähler metric on the Hitchin moduli space by the physicists Gaiotto, Moore, and Neitzke. I approach these intricate conjectures from physics with tools coming out of geometric analysis.

Previously, I was Szegő Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Stanford University from 2016-2020. I finished my PhD in May 2016 at The University of Texas at Austin, under the supervision of Andy Neitzke.
