You can subscribe to vibe shift or not but last spring my plague literature students resonated the most with Emily St. John Mandel's Station Eleven and this year they're *all* about Ling Ma's Severance.

On further consideration, maybe this is vibe shift counterevidence? Or at least a caution against mapping aesthetic sensibilities onto generations? All I know is, these Zoomers are suddenly vibing with the most aggressively elder-Millennial novel in existence.
