Kissing Rock is a monolith jutting from the beach on the south side of Gold Beach, Oregon, near milepost 330 on US 101. A highway turn-out parking area accommodates ~20 cars, and short sandy beach access trails lead through dune grass to the open beach. A few other rocks jut from the sand near Kissing Rock.
Kissing Rock has been assigned 179 in Oregon's system of numbered beach access points. Locals call the beach near here South Beach, heedless of the other South Beach 187 miles north near Newport. I don't know who manages Kissing Rock as a site; it isn't listed on the Web sites for the parks departments of Oregon, Curry County, or Gold Beach.
