Winema Wayfinding Point

The Winema Wayfinding Point is a wayside near milepost 94 on US 101, atop a ridge three miles north of Neskowin, Oregon.  There is a nice view of the old dune topography of this area, with Winema Lake behind a foredune and a creek crossing the beach below.  The bulk of Cascade Head rises to the south.

Interpretive signs explain local sights and history, with lists of other attractions heading north and heading south.  It's like a 1970s version of this web site.

It's easy to drive past this spot, but worth a stop to stretch your legs, gaze at the ocean, and maybe find out about some local color you might otherwise have missed.
