Mass Media Advertising
- In this class period we watched a video tape titled,
Selling the Dream.
This program provided:
- some of the history of advertising in the U.S..
- perspectives on the beneficial vs. harmful effects of advertising
on society, and
- a glimpse into the world of an advertising agency as it develops a TV
campaign for Mitsubishi Motor Corp.
- The class then discussed the individuals and their arguments within
the context of advertising as harmful or hurtful.
