                        Moving so quickly from one institution to another c=
an be to your advantage.  An example would be if the new institution's rese=
arch environment and resources available are clearly far superior to what y=
our current institution has.  It can be better to move to a new home where =
you can be much more productive rather than struggle to develop a research =
program at your home institution.  However, there are potential costs.

                        A major move involving the changing of institutions=
 is disruptive to any laboratory.  You can easily lose months of productivi=

timely after yet another deadly research workplace violence attack occurred=

dly disturbed at tenure decisions, allegedly opened fire in a department fa=
culty meeting killing three and wounding three others.

            Like other tragic incidences, Bishop's history showed a warning=
 sign: strong dissatisfaction that her tenure had been denied. Many inciden=
ts of violence have common warning signs but these can be hard to pinpoint.=
  Join Melissa as she walks you through the difficult task of differentiati=
ng eccentricity, from simmering anger, and violence proclivity. She will di=
scuss such limited tools as are available for predicting aberration.
